I don’t think I’ll ever achieve this level of being an adult...
U and me both kid and I'm pushing 35.All hail men and women like her
Me too how thriving she is ☺️
Right😭...I'll live vicariously through her
And it seems that im even older than her 🤦🏼♂️ jeez what am i doing with my life...
But I do hope I can be this kind of adult
Japanese woman: *Lives*
9 million people: "Interesting"
I thought the same. Why would you watch that?
Because her life is relatable no matter where those 9 million people live in the 🌎
@@isabeleresmastusiquevales8974 Because she is an inspiration to us all: to still treat yourself very well with extreme care every single day, and being thankful for what we have .
Sí
It mean, most people like to put their nose on others business hahaha. 😂😂😂😂👃🐸👎
I love how everything at the beginning is, “sometimes I take a shower. Not tonight, because I am hungry. I forgot to put an apron on because I am hungry. I finished folding my towels quickly, because I am hungry”
You’d love rural Africa then

She forgot to put in the apron because she was [ in a] hurry.
It’s interesting she prioritizes physical health better than we seem to in the US. I come home from 13hr shifts and put my stuff away and shower, then eat even though I’ve been starving for at least a few hours.
After 7 years of working, I finally saved enough money to rent my own apartment. Watching this, wow you still do a lot when you come home from work, cooking healthy dinner, preparing healthy lunch for the next day and keeping your skincare regimen. You are taking good care of yourself living alone. Makes me feel inspired to do the same. Love your videos. ❤
Im not working for 7 years and leaving my parents home to move into a depressive and miserable apartment for sure. Better use that rent money to buy food for your family.

I came here for motivation. Japanese ppl are so disciplined. They even work and prep a whole meal when they starve for hours already. I couldn't help but I realized how less I care about so much details and how sad that is.

Yup..same..
One thing I love about the internet is that no matter who you are, or where you are on earth, everyone has a routine for when they’re tired and hungry after work. Just a little something in common. 😊
I remember watching this two years ago and being mesmerised, and feeling so validated because I was watching someone be so content in a simple life. I'm still working towards it and I hope to be there one day!
I also noticed that you have done lots of work and improvements in your space, like new pans and decorations! You should remake the meals you make here and see what is different
Keep going? You can do it?
Pathetic.
What a lonely life.
What a tiny apartement.
What nice advertising.
@@Wutzibutzi100 what do you mean? It is one thing to be alone and quite another to be lonely :)
@@Wutzibutzi100 I would have to agree with you. Working all day only to come back to a tiny apartment, how depressing is that? I don't want to judge another person's life, but if it was me I'd become depressed really fast.
I’m jealous she manages to relax while taking a bath. I always end up alone with my thoughts and I start worrying about what’s going on in my life.
Omg, so relatable!! ;( Thought, I'm alone with that.

Maybe you need to spend some time working through your worries and the source of them. That did wonders to my quality of life. 😊
Cooking is a great way to release stress, but only if it’s for yourself....
Thought exactly the same 😂
I have found this to be true for me. I love cooking for myself. Do not enjoy cooking for others.
Omg I thought I was the only one. My parents would scold me for not making meals for my brother too and call me selfish and abnormal but like...the reason I went to the kitchen was for myself😭
I don't really agree, I find it peaceful and relaxing to cook for other people ☺️ It helps me focus on something else and dedicate myself entirely to bringing a good dish to the people I love 🥰
True dat!! 💯💯💯
Nami’s videos are so peaceful….makes me feel like somewhat of a lazy person because she is so meticulous and cooks such beautiful and healthy food. Also gets so much done on her days off and just relaxes….different cultural way from US where we lead such rushed frantic lives and I am sure she is very healthy because of all that wonderful food.💕
Let's be honest, work life in Japan is frantic enough as it is, she doesn't want to bring that aspect to the home let alone bring it into her weekend life.
The US is all about materialism and for Nami, she's just after the simpler things in life, not having a man in her personal life simplifies all of that.
@@hkdiva2015 Japan is an extremely marterialistic society as well, it just manifests it differently,

Thank you, Nami. It has really sedative effect on me. I wish you and everyone in comments inner peace and happiness.
I love how I never see her face or hear her talk but her routine and her commentary on it makes me like her. 🙂
Most Japanese and Korean videos don't show the face.
you literally see her body and that's all that matters to a man's subconscious - you react to it like a flea reacts to a movement - you 'like it' and you have no idea why apparently lmao
How do you mean you dont hear her talk?...
Interesting because in a way this is the best way to fall in love with someone (Nami ?). I already love her life in so many ways, the simplicity, the order, her calmness....she is already a very beautiful person to me. Just seeing her hands preparing food can seem so wonderfully sensual.

Well this video got recommended to me two years late... or maybe just at the right time. I'm doing my master's degree this year and it's my first time living abroad, let alone by myself. Though adulting is difficult, I've found that there's something extremely peaceful and grounding about having a whole room to myself this (I'm staying in student housing with a communal kitchen). It's just... liberating, having only myself to take care of and cater to for the first time in my life, and this video encapsulates that, especially the cooking while starving after coming back from a long day part XD thank you for this~
All the best for your master’s degree, I know you’ll ace it all ❤️
@@serenequeen8973 Thank you so much! I made it, I'm flying to attend my ceremony in two days! ❤️✌️
Watching u struggle cutting the kimbap was so funny😂 it happens to me too when i'm so excited to eat food!
I like how much attention and respect she gives herself.
Good way to put it
Not seeing this. She constantly appologized for things like a messy cable or how she isn't good in slicing the roll in perfect parts etc. It is all perfectly fine. I've never seen this much perfection but for her it is still lacking. Im not seeing her giving herself respect that way.
@@macootha you have a point yes. But she also gives herself massage, face masks, soaks in a bath, exercises and prepares nice food for herself alone.
@@macootha It's a cultural thing.
Just like the British apologizing all the time. It has absolutely nothing to do with their self respect, just social convention.
She cares of herself, treats herself to a nice home, healthy food, nice clothes and minds her health. That's valueing yourself and respecting yourself.
@@macootha as an asian, i agree w the previous commenter. i believe a lot of it comes from a common theme in a lot of asian countries of making sure to put one's best self when having guests (or in her case a yt video featuring herself in her own house) --i.e. making sure the house is neat, making sure the guests are comfortable, or not trying to do anything that would seem silly to ppl watching etc. It causes us to be a bit more conscious of how we present ourselves to other people(and to perhaps apologize a bit more for things different people wouldnt). That mindset when left unchecked can turn toxic obviously, but from what i know of the japanese, they do tend to apologize for certain things more than other people do. It's a cultural thing definitely. How much of her apologizing is a cultural thing though, i cannot say haha
Either way, i do believe that her taking time to cook a proper meal, clean herself properly, have a full skincare regimen, bla bla bla and overall give herself the time and space to unwind and relax and recharge, no matter how basic those actions may be, i think that caring for ones self, consiously & properly especially, should still be considered a form of self respect and is rightfully commended by OP here.
(Also one last thing before u go: how we treat ourselves isnt always going to be perfectly consistent. a lot of us are capable of treating ourselves with respect in certain areas, and in the other areas, mmm not so much. Lol. Funny isn't it?)
she's literally living what I want myself to become in the future -- living alone 😩
I hope you will get the future you dream about. In your culture it is not common for women to live on their own?
@@lionesslux6816 Yes, it is not common in our culture for women to live on their own. Women cannot live separately from their family unless they are married with someone. ):

I can relate to that. I don't even walk after dinner because it keeps me from sleeping well. I get all the things done early in the day. Thank goodness I am retired now.

But I'm a little concerned about how much salt and salty soja souce she is using 😱😱
So quiet and solitary. Makes me realize that almost every single time I've arrived home after a day of work, I've been greeted by an animal and/or human who was glad to see me. I'm lucky.
This lady has admirable self-discipline. After work, I just grab a takeaway, throw my clothes in the hamper as soon as I get home, do a quick shower and then play online games until I doze off.
Sometimes I skip the nightly shower when I'm lazy and just wash my face and brush my teeth.

This is so insightful. It's amazing to see a peek into the life of someone one ocean away.
Oh please she did the same exact thing anyone living in any modern civilization would do before bed.
@@nobody4933 Exactly. It feels comforting to watch.
@@justwaiting5744 I agree. It was a comforting, soothing video and it’s the life sharing of someone who’s in a world we don’t know.
@@nobody4933 you’re dumb. It’s interesting to see another’s culture’s food preparation, and I enjoy her showing clips of the outside, her supermarket, etc
And even don't see his/ her face
This was very calming to watch, I almost felt like I was being taken care of.
Hello Susie hope you are doing okay over there?
The first ever video i watched of Nami. I clicked because of her shoes, i stayed because its so wholesome. Ive been following her eversince❤
Ella llegando al final del día, cansada y con hambre, preparando su cena cuidando cada detalle... Yo comiendo de pie en la cocina alguna cosa que encuentro en la heladera... Oh vida agitada!
It's amazing to see how you practice selfcare and are so neat with everything you do. I feel calm watching you. You apologize for a lot of stuff and I think you really don't need to! You're doing a great job caring for yourself and aren't we all a little bit strange in some mannerisms? Don't belittle yourself cause if this
Aplogizing is sort of Japanese custom to be polite, which does not always mean to be sorry.
I never thought of washing rice with a whisk. That’s genius and I’m totally gonna start doing it
お風呂がローズマリー色ローズ色でハーブとの相性もよく素敵です。こんなお風呂でしたら毎日癒やされますね。素敵です。スカートのセンスもよく格好いいです。
Me encanta los videos de Nami por que me relajan mucho
y’all stop judging her. I see a lot of negativity in the comments. she’s just living her life, so respect her.
true
Shut up....teacher's pet
Hello Sarah hope you are doing okay over there?
仕事終わりにここまでしっかりこなせるの凄いなあ…
I enjoy watching your videos. They are very calming and have given me ideas for cooking and storage.
Turn the lights out while bathing. Very peaceful
Hi, to all the people this video got recommended to all on a sudden.
I think it was internet's way to make me realize I have to start taking care of myself. It was very subtle and looks simple. Quite soothing. But saddly it's not simple for me who has 30 years of not-having-a-routine experience.
@@1aldebaran1 lol same, cuz i've literally stopped caring bout myself for a while now. I Don't even know what im doing sometimes. I'll only do something if I HAVE TO, otherwise, I'll just procastinate. I know i probably will regret it in the future but still do it anyways. :c
@@reyypuvk5939 I feel ya. the one who actually cures procastination will be very rich jaja
Hey! :)
